Tribes!

Tribes in our classroom!

Tribes is something that I include in every lesson, activity, and interaction I have with the students and my colleagues.  I believe that Tribes is an integral part of our classroom as it builds community, understanding, acceptance, and respect in the classroom.  I believe in Tribes and the power it plays in a classroom and school and as such have received my Tribes Level 1 certification.  Each day I build in Tribes into the students' learning and every Tuesday, during period 6, the students and I meet for a Tribes session where we have a community circle and a short activity to build community.
